Call Forwarding Settings

Direct Connect:
Direct Connect means the system will simply forward a caller to the destination number without announcing the call. The system will not differentiate between a person picking up and an answering machine. If the first destination number is set to Direct Connect and you have an answering machine picking up calls at this number, no other destination numbers will be tried since all calls will be connected to the answering machine for the first number.

Call Announce:
This is the default option on each number you setup for live call forwarding. Call Announce is transparent to the caller and is intended as an aid for you. When answering a call from an extension, the name of the extension will be announced and you then have the option to take the call (press 1), send the call to voicemail (press 2), or listen to the caller ID (press 3).

Call Screening:
Call Screening is very similar to Call Announce with one notable difference: it asks the caller to provide their name prior to the live call forwarding sequence. When answering a call both the name of the person and the extension they are calling for will be announced. You then have the option to take the call (press 1), send the call to voicemail (press 2), or listen to the caller's phone number (press 3).
