GotVMail, The Entrepreneurs Phone System, to Sponsor SAGE 2008 National Entrepreneurship Competition

Needham, MA, May 16, 2008 — GotVMail Communications LLC (http://gotvmail.com), The Entrepreneur's Phone System, today announced that it will again be a sponsor of the 2008 SAGE USA high school entrepreneur championships to be held Friday, May 23, in Cincinnati, OH.

This year marks the sixth year of the national competition organized by Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE), an international organization based at California State University, Chico, in partnership with Youth Venture. The competition will feature over 100 high school entrepreneurs on teams from seven states who will vie for the opportunity to represent the United States at the SAGE World Cup in Nigeria. The USA competition will be held Friday, May 23, at the University of Cincinnati.

"Each year, the SAGE competition keeps getting better, and we are very happy to support youth entrepreneurship any way we can," said David Hauser, GotVMail Co-founder, Chief Technology Officer, and SAGE Advisory Board member. "These students are our community leaders of tomorrow, and SAGE is helping empower this exceptional group of young people to achieve their full potential through ventures that help bring about social change."

For the 2008 national championship, high school teams from seven states, including Ohio, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Idaho and California, will be making oral and written presentations to a panel of judges. The students will describe their entrepreneurial and social ventures that they started and operated during the past year. The teams are judged on entrepreneurship, community outreach, civic engagement, environmental responsibility, use of college mentors and use of a business advisory board. Following a presentation, judges ask questions of the student presenters.

The defending national champion is a team from Northwestern Lehigh High School in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania. The student entrepreneurship projects can range from running an in-school food cart service in order to reduce lunchtime truancy to finding new markets for handicrafts for an economically impoverished ethnic group.
